Softtrix Navigator (“the extension”, “we”, “our”) is a Chrome browser extension that helps users run SEO audits on web pages. This Privacy Policy explains what information the extension accesses, how it is used, and how it is protected.

We respect your privacy. Softtrix Navigator does not collect, sell, or share your personal data.

2. Information the Extension Accesses

To perform SEO audits, the extension reads information from the web page you choose to audit, only when you open or use the extension. This includes:

• Page URL and title
• Meta tags, headings, images and image alt text
• Links, schema markup and NAP (name, address, phone) details shown on the page
• Technologies used on the page (tech stack)
• Colors used on the page
• Full-page screenshots, when you request them

This information is processed locally in your browser to display the audit results. It is not sent to our servers or to any third party.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

Softtrix Navigator does not collect, store on any server, or transmit:

• Personally identifiable information (name, email address, age, etc.)
• Passwords, login credentials, or authentication information
• Financial or payment information
• Health information
• Personal communications (emails, messages, chats)
• Location data
• Browsing history
• Keystrokes, mouse movements, or other activity tracking

4. Data Stored on Your Device

The extension may save the following data locally in your browser using Chrome’s storage features:

• Your settings and preferences
• Audit history and results
• Screenshots you capture
• URL lists you enter in the Bulk URL Opener

This data stays on your device and is never uploaded by the extension. You can delete it at any time by clearing the extension’s data in its settings, or by removing the extension from Chrome.

5. How Permissions Are Used

Softtrix Navigator requests only the permissions needed for its features:

• Access to websites (host permissions), activeTab, and scripting: To read the SEO data of the page you are auditing.
• tabs and tabGroups: To read the current tab’s URL and title, and to open and group multiple tabs when you use the Bulk URL Opener.
• declarativeNetRequest: To adjust request headers during an audit you start (for example, to check how a page appears to search engines or mobile devices). It is not used to track or record your browsing.
• search: To run SEO checks (such as “site:” searches) with your default search engine, only when you choose that option.
• storage and unlimitedStorage: To save your settings, audit history, and screenshots locally on your device.
• downloads: To save screenshots and reports to your computer when you request it.

6. Sharing of Data

We do not sell, rent, trade, or transfer any user data to third parties. We do not use any data for advertising, profiling, or to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

7. Third-Party Services

Softtrix Navigator does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking services. When you open links or run searches through the extension, those websites and search engines have their own privacy policies, which we do not control.

8. Chrome Web Store User Data Policy

The use of information by Softtrix Navigator complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

9. Children’s Privacy

Softtrix Navigator is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children.

10. Security

Because all processing happens locally in your browser and no data is sent to external servers, your data remains under your control on your own device.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the extension after changes means you accept the updated policy.
